The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) Council unanimously approved the grant of $559,615 for Keyano Theatre & Art Centre.

Suncor is providing Keyano Theatre with a one-time grant this month to help offset the loss of this season’s performances due to the onset of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of what 2021 will bring. Light Up the Night is an initiative by the live events community across Canada, and Keyano Theatre is taking part.  Performance venues from across Canada will be raising awareness for the live entertainment industry that has been shut down due to COVID-19 by lighting up their facilities in red.  The goal is to remind us that the live entertainment industry is suffering with over 2,000 university and college educated professionals impacted and out of work.

Keyano College is seeking applications from local artists and performers to demonstrate or perform their craft during Alberta Culture Days in a ““pop up” environment on the Keyano College Front Lawn.
