1. When will I receive a refund for my program/course?
The Office of the Registrar will be contacting all Apprenticeship students via phone who were registered for the Spring 2016 technical training over the next two weeks. If you are an Apprenticeship student who believes they may be eligible for a refund we ask that you prepare the following banking information: Branch, Transit Number, and Account number. Once it is determined you are eligible for a refund, you will be asked to provide this information to the College’s Finance Department via a secure online form, and all refunds will be processed through bank transfers. The online form will be sent to you from Keyano as a web link. Please note: In order to be eligible for a refund, you must have no balance owing to the College.

2. Will I be refunded for housing?
Yes, we will reverse all housing charges for students past May 3, the time the mandatory evacuation was called. It will be the same process for refund as described above for programs/courses. Please note: In order to be eligible for a refund, you must have no balance owing to the College.

3. Will the refund just include the course itself or will books, parking passes and other such expenses be refunded as well?
The initial refund will be for tuition, fees and housing charges only. Refunds for books and parking passes will be available at the Keyano College bookstore when the College is officially open and operational. Until that time feel free to email the Bookstore Manager at bookstore@keyano.ca to give your contact information (name, student #, address and phone number).

4. When will I have access to get my things from my locker? Or get my Individual Learning Modules (ILMs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
Though Keyano College remains closed, students and staff can make arrangements to collect their personal belongings, including items in lockers, from Keyano College. In order to facilitate access, you must contact Keyano College Security and make an appointment. Security may be reached at 780-791-4911. The College is still undergoing major cleaning with multiple contractors onsite, and general re-entry is not being permitted at this time.  We appreciate your patience through this process. Should you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the Facilities Helpdesk at facilitieshelpdesk@keyano.ca.

5. When will I have access to get my things from housing?
Though Keyano College remains closed, students and staff can make arrangements to collect their personal belongings from Keyano College properties, including the Clearwater Hall (Purple Palace) student residence, as well as student lockers, etc. In order to facilitate access, you must contact Keyano College Security and make an appointment. Security may be reached at 780-791-4911. It’s important to remember that the College is still undergoing major cleaning with multiple contractors onsite, and general re-entry is not being permitted at this time.  We appreciate your patience through this process.

Cleaning has been completed at the Penhorwood and Reidel properties. PLEASE NOTE: as part of restoration work, fridges and freezers are being removed from these units. Extended power outages have resulted in spoiled food and pose a biohazard risk. Keyano Housing provided appliances will be replaced by the College, however, there will be a delay in installation of new fridges. Those who are returning should have personal coolers for perishable items. We will contact tenants in the future regarding the replacement schedule.

As a returning tenant, you will need to contact ATCO to have your natural gas turned on. For those returning to Fort McMurray after June 12, please visit the ATCO Responds webpage here on how to have your natural gas activated. A representative of Keyano does not need to be present for gas to be re-activated.

Should you have any questions regarding the above, please contact the Facilities Helpdesk at facilitieshelpdesk@keyano.ca.
