Tutoring & Academic Supports

Tutoring is a service available, FREE of charge, to any student registered at Keyano College.

The goal of the tutoring program is to foster a student's ability to effectively master their course material. Students registered at Keyano College are welcome to drop into the Skill Centre to visit with any of our tutors to discuss their academic concerns.

Peer Tutor Program

Are you a student currently registered at Keyano College interested in becoming a peer tutor?  Check out our peer tutor program or drop in to the Skill Centre to find out more about the role of peer tutor.

Applications can be completed and submitted through the Keyano Careers webpage under  Student Positions. We advertise for Peer Tutors in Math and Science and in Humanities courses.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides scheduled and facilitated study groups that are offered in conjunction with select courses. Students practice collaborative learning techniques while mastering their course material.

Facilitated Study Groups

The Skill Centre can assist students to form their own study groups – providing space and guidance. Tutors with backgrounds in the subject area, can help to facilitate study group sessions and offer suggestions on how to make your study group effective.
