There are approximately 124,000 items in our General Collection. This collection supports the College curriculum. Books are catalogued according to the Library of Congress Classification System.
Students, faculty, staff and TAL members also have access to the NEOS consortium. The NEOS system makes available an additional 5 million items.
Bachelor of Education Collection
To support our collaborative University of Alberta Bachelor of Education program, the Library maintains a collection of materials designed to meet the curriculum needs of students and teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Books are catalogued according to the Dewey Decimal System (which is used in the Public School system).
Items in the Curriculum collection may be borrowed by Keyano students, faculty, and staff, and community borrowers. This collection is also available through the NEOS delivery system and Interlibrary Loan.
Our online resources contain approximately 50 databases covering a wide range of subject areas. Students, faculty and staff can access these by computers on campus or from home.
The Reference Collection consists of almanacs, dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, etc. The Reference Collection is for in-Library use only.
The Periodical Collection, which consists of journals, magazines and newspapers, meets the needs of the College’s curriculum subject areas. We have both scholarly journals and popular magazines. Ask at the circulation desk for loan periods.
