Tuition Payment Deadline Fall Semester: Aug. 21 (All programs except Power Engineering & Process Operations)

Housing rent and/or tuition fees owing to Keyano College can be paid by on-line banking at the following banking institutions: TD, CIBC, RBC, Bank of Nova Scotia, BMO, ATB and Credit Unions. Make your payments by using the bill payment option available in your on-line banking. The full 9 digit student ID# must appear with the payment - eg. 000-555-555. Please note that this is the only available option to pay your fees conveniently. If your financial institution is not listed, then the tuition fees can be paid by cash at the mentioned financial institutions. Instruct the bank teller to pay the bill to Keyano College which is listed as one of the vendors in their on-line bill payment system. 

Online banking procedures:

1. Log in to your on-line banking at TD, CIBC, RBC, Bank of Nova Scotia, BMO, ATB, or Credit Unions.

2. Select the option: “pay bills”

3. Select “add payee” and you will be prompted to enter payee name

4. Type in “Key” or “Keyano” and click search

5. Select one of the following options

                Keyano College – Housing Rent

                Keyano College – Tuition Fee

                Keyano College – Continuing Education

6. System will prompt for Payee Account – Type in your student number (the last nine digits of the student number, eg. 000-555-555)

7. Follow system prompts to complete payment.

Application payments and submission

Pay your domestic or international application fee online. You can also submit your application online along with any other necessary documents. If you have any questions regarding your application please contact admissions. Applications can also be submitted through admissions at the Office of the Registrar.

Tuition and related fees payments

Pay your statement balance online. If you are in receipt of a scholarship or award, or if you’ve applied for a student loan, check with the Financial advisor in the Office of the Registrar to ensure that your account has notes regarding this.Tuition and related fees must be paid five working days from the official first day of classes (including the first day of classes) in any given semester (see tuition & refund schedule on page 21 of course calendar). Any issues regarding tuition charges, or refunds, must be discussed with and approved by the Office of the Registrar.

If there is something you do not understand about your account, you may direct your questions to the Student Accounts Receivable Clerk. Remember, we are not just here to take payments; we are also here to help you understand your account.

Do you already have Health and Dental coverage? The Keyano College Student Association has automatic charges set up on all full-time student accounts for Health and Dental coverage. If you wish to opt out of the Health and Dental plan, you must do so within the first two weeks of the semester. Please opt out by completing the form at Note specific dates to opt out of the Health and Dental plan in the Credit Calendar.

Rent payments

Rent charges are applied to student accounts at the beginning of each month. Rent is due on the first day of the month and can be paid online. Reoccurring housing payments can be set up through online banking.

Any issues regarding rent charges must be disputed with the Housing Office.

Miscellaneous payments

Any other miscellaneous payments, transcripts, or proof of enrollment letters can be paid at the Office of the Registrar or at the cash office. Proper documentation/forms must be presented at the time of payment to ensure that receipts are distributed to the Student, the Cash Office, and to the corresponding Department.

Any courses or memberships for the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre (SSWC) must be paid at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre Guest Services Desk.

Any Theatre tickets or subscriptions must be paid at the Keyano Box Office.

Any purchases made at the Keyano Bookstore must be paid at the Keyano Bookstore.

No Personal Cheques will be accepted.


Tuition refunds are initiated from the Office of the Registrar. Students who wish to withdraw from courses/programs must do so at the Office of the Registrar.

Any refunded amounts will be entered by the Office of the Registrar and refund cheques will be mailed to the student’s address.

Continuing Education courses must also be cancelled through the Office of the Registrar.

Housing refunds are initiated through the Housing Office.

All refunds will be issued in the student’s name unless otherwise directed by the Office of the Registrar. Please review the Refund of Fees policy in the Credit Calendar for further details.



All student accounts are automatically set up on a No Release of Information. Any information regarding the student account will only be released to the student themselves. If the student wishes other parties (parents, sponsors, etc.) have access to their information, they must fill out the appropriate form at the Office of the Registrar.
