Take Breaks


·        Your brain needs down time

·        Your brain needs a break to form memories!




1.     Set your timer for 40 minutes (avoid using your phone)


2.     Do focused studying for 40 minutes


3.     Set your timer for a 10 minute break

4.     Go and enjoy your break!

o   Move around

o   Walk outside

o   Get a snack

o   Do something to rest your brain

5.     Get back to studying.



6.     Repeat!



* Change the times so they work for you.

Don’t study longer than an hour without taking a break.
