Welcoming Diversity

Facilitating Opportunities

Promoting Inclusive Environments and Well-being

Our Mission

By recognizing diversity, with disability as a valued aspect, Accessibility Services (AS) supports and promotes welcoming, inclusive and sustainable environments.  To maximize access and well-being, AS offers resources to the campus community through collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of Accessibility Services is guided by the promotion of welcoming, inclusive and sustainable environments by emphasizing human rights, self-determination, interdependence and equality.

"If we are to achieve a richer culture, rich in contrasting values, we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities and so weave a less arbitrary social fabric, one in which each diverse human gift will find a fitting place."

- Margaret Mead

Our Purpose

Accessibility Services is the central campus resource for students with disabilities and accommodations to remove barriers to access.  In collaboration with students, faculty, and AS staff members work to determine reasonable accommodations that will enable every student to have equal access to the full range of programs.
