Keyano Huskies Female Athlete of the Week


Moiyan Toure, a 5-foot-10 centre, sparked the Keyano Huskies to a pair of Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference women’s basketball opening regular season victories against the visiting The Kings University Eagles 70-46 Friday October 12, 2018 and 56-52 Saturday October 13, 2018 at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre’s Canadian Resources Limited Gymnasium.


Toure, from Edmonton Alberta, had a combined 28 points, 29 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 steals and 4 blocks.

 

Keyano Huskies Male Athlete of the Week

 

Stefan Jovcic, Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year in 2017-2018, opened the 2018-2019 season with an all-around performance as the Keyano Huskies defeated the visiting The Kings University Eagles 103-67 Friday October 12, 2018 and 112-75 Saturday October 13, 2018 at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre’s Canadian Resources Limited Gymnasium.

The 6-foot-5 forward from Mississauga, Ontario scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Friday while adding 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 24 minutes court time.  On Saturday, Jovcic shot an impressive 10-13 from the field, including two-for-three from behind the three-point arc, to record 22 points while windexing the boards for a total of 10. He was also credited with 2 assists and 2 steals in the 26 minutes on the hardwood.
