(Fort McMurray, AB – July 27, 2018) – Keyano College is pleased to announce the selection of its Vice President, Community Relations.
Frederick Russell has been a key leader at Keyano College for the last five years, and most recently served as Interim Vice President, Academic. Prior to that, he served as Dean of the School of Continuing Education and as Director, Corporate Services.
In his new role, he will leverage more than 20 years of experience as a leader and administrator in the post-secondary college system. His career includes a number of senior administrative roles in the State of Qatar, in Newfoundland and Labrador, and in Québec before coming to Alberta. He brings extensive experience in events and fundraising, theatre arts programs in non-profit and small businesses, and securing grants and raising sponsorship dollars for non-profits, and post-secondary institutions.
As VP Community Relations, Mr. Russell will have responsibility for Advancement, the Keyano Theatre and Arts Centre, the Sport and Wellness Centre, as well as Continuing Education and Indigenous Education.
An important part of his focus will be on developing community-based, provincial, national, and international partnerships.
