Keyano Launches New Marketing Campaign

(Fort McMurray, AB – March 20, 2017) - In the wake of wildfire destruction and the strength of a community rebuild, Keyano College is joining the movement with a new advertising campaign.

You’ve Got the Power is fashioned after the strength of Fort McMurray,” says Tracy Edwards, President and CEO of Keyano College.  “In very few places have I seen the resilience, passion and power that this community has.  Keyano is part of that community.”

You’ve Got the Power focuses on just that.  The power every individual has to make a difference and achieve their goals.

Graphic representations show images of students with shadows that show a super-hero cape in the background.  The jingle that will play across Alberta, has an epic feeling. You’ve Got the Power – be the hero you are! is only one of the lines that encourage people to stretch their comfort zone.  The campaign will play on radio, outdoor, social and print.

Keyano’s program mix – heavily invested in trades and oil sector programming – resonates with the Power concept.  Here students are taught to harness the Power that will move them towards success, whether in this community that is so well known for producing power, or in another area of our fine country.

Other variations of this concept can also play to the other programs and services offered.  Keyano College’s theatre uses the power of imagination.  Childhood Studies has the power to shape lives.  Health programs have the power to help restore the body to wellness.  The power to change is inherent in all of the programs.

“We transform lives at Keyano College,” says Edwards.  “People come here with a goal, and through training and education, they walk out more prepared to meet that goal.”
