The Quality Group of Companies truly embodies the spirit of giving. The company has recently donated a 2000 International 5-ton digger/boom truck, the third large truck donated by the group of companies to Keyano College in the last eight months. The combined value of the three donated trucks is well over $215,000 making the Quality Group of Companies one of the top supporters of the Keyano College Foundation’s Equipped for the Future initiative.

The trucks, all in excellent condition, are suitable for a variety of uses. Keyano’s Facilities Department will use one truck for campus maintenance and service work while the others can be incorporated into future boom truck safety courses and expanded training opportunities.
Keyano’s Vice President External Relations, Cindy Amerongen points to the collective donations as an example of the true spirit of giving that is so evident in this region and certainly reflects The Quality Group of Companies incredible philanthropic character.
“The Quality Group of Companies is a strong partner with Keyano College and under the leadership of Dale Unruh, President and CEO, the company consistently looks for ways to support the College. A year ago we didn’t have any boom trucks in our fleet, now we have four including a picker truck loaned by Premay Equipment LP through a generous waived lease agreement. What’s unique about these donations is that each of the trucks is a slightly different size and come with different attachments making them useful for a variety of purposes.”
Adam McLeod, Operations Manager, Quality Dewatering is proud of the Quality Group of Companies for contributing to Keyano’s Equipped for the Future initiative.
“Donating used equipment like this to the College makes a lot of sense. We know that by helping Keyano we are ultimately contributing to a safer, better trained workforce for the region.”
Equipped for the Future is an ongoing initiative of the Keyano College Foundation and in two short years has resulted in over $2.5 million worth of donated and loaned equipment and related services. Truly the spirit of giving is alive and well in the Wood Buffalo region and the Keyano College Foundation is very grateful!
