Program Review

Program Review

Throughout education systems around the globe continuous self-assessment and improvement has become a standard practice for all academic programs. The purpose of the Program Review at Keyano College is to emphasize core issues such as program viability and program quality to evaluate relevancy and currency of curriculum and student learning outcomes in order to meet and/or exceed stakeholder expectations. Validated by research and consultation, the program review process will guide institutional decision making in regards to program maintenance, improvement and sustainability.

Under the current framework, the Program Review Policy ensures all Keyano College programs conduct a full review of program quality and viability at least once every five years. The process will be administered by the Learning Innovation Division and led by a Program Review Committee. Based on the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data produced by the college, the Program Review Committee will examine program quality, viability, efficiencies and effectiveness as it relates to the delivery, relevancy and currency of program outcomes in meeting current and future community, regional and industry needs.
