Dr. Edwards’ academic career spans three decades, two countries and five institutions.
Her most recent appointments include the presidencies of Lakeland College and Lethbridge College in Alberta and the Academic Vice Presidency of Valencia College in Orlando, FL.
Tracy has a diploma from the Nova Scotia Community College, a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology major) and a Master of Education (Ed Admin) from St. Mary’s University in Halifax as well as a Doctor of Education (College Leadership) from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2016, she completed her Institute of Corporate Directors designation through the Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto and the University of Alberta.
Tracy’s recognitions include being named a YWCA Woman of Distinction, a Distinguished Graduate of the College Leadership Program at UT Austin and a key to the City of Lethbridge. In 2012 she received the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, Alberta Chapter.
Dr. Edwards was also given a Blackfoot name by Blood Tribe elder Francis First Charger as well as an honorary membership in Local 2003, Métis Nation of Alberta.
She currently serves as a Director on the Travel Alberta Board.
