Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo, Justine Rukeba brings with her more than 20 years of experience in governance, strategic leadership, and management for both social profit and the private sector. A trained human rights lawyer, she has a passion for social justice and is widely recognized for her expertise for advocating for diversity inclusive policies and programs. Justine’s career spans progressive roles in Canada, the U.S., Afghanistan, South Sudan, Egypt, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, South Africa, and Mauritius. She has worked for Deloitte, Global Rights, the UN, American Bar Association, and The World Bank and was the recipient of the Peace Woman of the Year 2015 Award. Justine holds a Master’s Degree in International Law from American University Washington College of Law and she is a graduate of the Executive Leadership from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. Justine is a renowned speaker at international platforms on a variety of global matters and social justice issues facing the world today.
