What Is Facilities Management?
Facilities management is the practice of coordinating the physical workplace with the people and work of the organization; it integrates principles of business administration, architecture and the behavioral and engineering sciences. Facilities management combines management practices with the most current technical knowledge to provide humane and effective work environments. The Facilities Director's role is as a generalist managing teams of specialists (architects, engineers, designers, technicians, etc.) to plan, provide, and manage a productive work environment.
We're proud of the work we do for the College community, and we welcome your input. If you have any questions regarding any of the services provided by the Facilities Department please contact the Director of Planning, Procurement, and Property Management, Patricia Scantlebury.
